Well, we did it! June 2017 was our first ever Royal Cornwall Show and our first retail event, and what a show is was!
As many of our readers are aware, The Cornish House is predominantly an Interior Design and Styling business but over the last year we've accumulated a vast array of beautiful pieces of furniture, upholstery and interior accessories from various design projects, property styling assignments and photo shoots that needed to be sold and moved on.
Not everything was plain sailing and our team had lots of fun and games setting up the stand in force gale winds and torrential rain on the Sunday prior to the event.
I guess it wouldn't be Cornwall if we didn't have some rain.
Thankfully the clouds parted and we did see some sunshine over the three days, to greet customers to our very busy stand.
We were packed to rafters with beautiful antique and vintage furniture, upholstery, artwork, prints, rugs, designer cushions, lighting, lanterns, ironstone, French soaps and carefully chosen accessories.
All-in-all it was a very successful event with nearly all our visitors commenting on how beautiful our stand looked and that is was the most attractive stand at the show! High praise indeed!
Not only did we make lots of sale and design appointments, but we were also consistently asked whether we had a shop and where was it located... I think someone might be trying to tell me something!
So, lots of exciting things to look forward to here at The Cornish House...
